Once upon a time I wasn’t aware that it is possible to charge young children as adults in the western world…
We are merely the current pinnacle of evolutionary development on a small watery rock orbiting one rather ordinary star among the 100 billion or so stars making up one moderately large galaxy among 100 billion or so galaxies filling a Cosmos that we are just starting to understand. With knowledge comes humility. But with wisdom comes a humbleness about the significance of one struggling soul on that small watery rock in the Grand Scheme of the Cosmos.

In a way, we are the center of the universe. For a brief spec in time there existed humans, apparently the most evolved and only life form outside of this planet ever known to have existed.
We should everyday be in awe of the unique set of circumstances that gave rise to this life and know also that too soon we will be gone, individually and as an ecosystem – as well as any evidence that we were ever even here.
