Good lord. It’s only four in the morning and already 300 more visitors have come to the Diary than were here all day yesterday.
It’s another freaking freak show day. Last time this happened, we had 103,230 visitors in one day–almost all tourists.
When I put up these before-and-after pictures of pathetic Jocelyn Wildenstein nearly two years ago, I had no idea I was creating such a traffic builder.
At first I was all excited about it. But the truth is, the touristas don’t give a damn about any of the things I care about. I mean, they’re mobbing our site to gawk at pictures of $4 million in cosmetic surgery gone bad, fer chrissake…
And the worst thing is, the spike they’re creating will make my dashboard bar charts unreadable and useless to me for at least a month and a half. All the normal day-to-day traffic I find so interesting will become flatlined as this single bar keeps growing and dominating the scene like a big huge boner.
How typically American.
Oh, well… we might as well roll with this and enjoy it for what it is. I’ll give you periodic traffic reports throughout the day.
