cherry coloured funk

It’s been a while since I’ve played anything by one of my favorite groups, Cocteau Twins, a Scottish alternative rock band which was active from 1979 to 1997.

While the entire band won much critical praise, lead singer Elizabeth Fraser’s distinctive vocals received the most attention. Of her barely decipherable soprano vocalizations, Allmusic reviewer Ned Raggett wrote that “part of her appeal is how she can make hard-to-interpret lyrics so emotionally gripping.”

I hope you will enjoy this selection.
