criminality

nixon 4

Forty years ago today, Richard Nixon announced he would resign the presidency. For a while, people thought this had saved the nation. Now people are saying this nation and its traditional freedoms are under assault again.

Here is a link to an interview the BBC conducted with Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, the two Washington Post journalists credited with having exposed a pattern of criminality in the Nixon White House, a situation they now say was much worse than they had perceived at the time.

The interview will be available for only five days more; I don’t know if I will be able to download it after that. I encourage you to listen to the interview to steel yourself for the continuing challenge to protect our freedoms.
