big lie

.

How can you doubt that any government which incarcerates its children in adult facilities, tries kids as adults, and allows them to be abused by perverted inmates and cruel prison guards, would not do something as heinous and dismissive of human life as bringing down a couple buildings… and then lie about it?

If I am willing to entertain the possibility that the government is behind the outrage of 9/11, it is because I have been conditioned to believe it by the government’s own actions.

    First of all, you are conflating our state and federal governments. It is the STATE governments, not the FEDERAL government, that are incarcerating children in adult facilities, trying kids as adults, and allowing them to be abused by perverted inmates and cruel prison guards. I can understand how and why our European friends are confused about “government” in the USA, with our 50 semi-sovereign states with their own legal systems and a national government that is both very powerful yet limited in how it can wield those powers. But I cannot for the likes of me understand how you, Dan, would be so ignorant of our system of government. Or are you perhaps being disingenuous?

    The delusional accusations you deem possible are that the Bush administration planned, orchestrated, and perpetrated the 9/11 attacks in order to cow the American people into submission to absolute federal authority. If you really believe that, then I sincerely suggest you consult a psychiatrist. Here’s just one example why these conspiracy theories are so out there in the lunisphere.

    [Lifted directly from Wikipedia] “Of the 2,977 people killed in the September 11 attacks, 414 were emergency workers in New York City who responded to the World Trade Center. This included:
    341 firefighters and 2 paramedics from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY);
    37 police officers from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD);
    23 police officers from the New York City Police Department (NYPD);
    8 emergency medical technicians and paramedics from private hospital units;
    3 New York State Court Officers.”

    Note especially the 23 NYPD officers killed in the attacks. Currently, the NYC police unions are engaging in a quasi-insurrection against the mayor, because he had the audacity to sympathize with the demonstrators protesting the lack of an indictment in the killing of Eric Garner by a cop on Staten Island, the smallest [and whitest] borough of NYC. Do you really think those same unions, whose leaders are accusing the mayor of having police blood on his hands, would sit idly by all these years and let Bush and his gang get away with murdering 23 of their own in cold blood? If you think that possible then you obviously know absolutely nothing about New York and New Yorkers. Believe me, if Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al had perpetrated the WTC attacks, they would have long ago been hanged, drawn, and quartered in Times Square!

    I passionately support your work on juvenile justice, Dan, and can honestly say that you have educated me about parricides and why they kill. I admire your commitment to the kids in the Redemption Project. But I must call you on this issue. 9/11 was not some abominable “government” plot. By pushing this line you provide cover for the islamist terrorists who are trying to destroy our civilization and impose a new dark age on the world. Why you would want to do this is beyond my understanding. You did hear that they struck again, right in the heart of Paris? Or was that an Obama plot to cow the French?

      To add to Frank’s comments, can any reasonable person seriously believe that the Bush administration (or for that matter, any Federal or State political group) was not only capable of carrying out such attacks in secrecy (with less than 9 months to plan/organize and execute), but then able to keep their mouths shut about it for more than 13 years? And what about the current “blame Bush” inhabitant of the White House, would he pass up an opportunity to leak such information and expose his predecessor and his minion Dick “Lord Vader” Chaney? Me thinks not!

    Girls, 11 and 15, charged in brother’s murder
    A teenage boy in White Springs was shot and killed Monday night and his two younger sisters are accused of carrying out his murder, authorities said Tuesday….

    …The teens are facing pre-meditated murder charges but the State Attorney has not decided if they will move forward with those charges. They have 30 days to decide whether to charge them as adults and whether or not to move forward. The girls will remain in juvenile custody without bond until that decision is made…

    Prosecuting preteens as adults defies logic

    In October, Pennsylvania began a mandatory prosecution of a 10-year-old boy as an adult for murder — a prosecution illegal in any other developed nation and in all but one other U.S. state. On Jan. 5, a judge granted a petition from the boy’s attorney to move the case to juvenile court, where it clearly belongs. The fact that adjudication did not begin there reveals an underappreciated but critical flaw in the way U.S. courts deal with children who commit crime.
