Ugh, I haven’t anything to write about today, and I am occupying myself watching a weird documentary about what can be learned from DNA extracted by famous people’s body parts (Charles Darwin’s beard, Napoleon’s penis, John Lennon’s molar, Eva Braun’s hair—genetically she was part-Jewish—etc.).
The morning hasn’t been a total waste of time, though. Something in the documentary’s soundtrack reminded me of this strange song from the 1973 film, The Wicker Man, with music composed by John Giovanni. This appeared in a scene featuring a siren’s song performed (I think) by actress Britt Ekland.
I haven’t heard it for a long time and, lacking anything better, I share it with you.
Groove of the Day
PS: I’ve just had an idea. I was just writing to one of our kids in prison about looking on the bright side, and I thought I should be doing more of this myself.
From now on, I’m going to give a “Weather Report,” as (1) it will force me to pay more attention to how many good days there are out here, and (2) I think you’ll appreciate knowing this about Estrella Vista, whether you end up thinking about it or not.
